Search for the line of your favorite book and the line of your favorite song, and you'll find Lee Moretti and her band. This rock quartet delivers hooks from their upcoming EP with a one-two punch, reflecting on love, loss, and the powers of fate, change, and choice. Formed in 2009 with Jordan Alegant, Sonya Perricone, and Andrew Nault, the band is driven by melodic piano and fierce guitar, bringing a new kind of force to the stage of rock songwriting.

People can't quite put their finger on what genre Emily Peal falls into. . . and that's a beautiful thing. The "quirk-rock" band formed in early 2008 when Peal brought her unique sound to friends Andrew G. Nault, Zach Comtois, and Jordan Alegant. The result was magical—smart, sexy music that stays in your head long after the show is over. The band can currently be seen playing around Boston with new songs from its upcoming EP, Stacking Dolls.

Also appearing: Ali Rapetti.
