Sxip Shirey

Composer, curator, circus orchestrator—touring the globe performing the most amazing music imaginable—Brooklyn's Sxip Shirey creates ecstatic melody sounds and deep sexy beats on industrial flutes, bullhorn harmonica, regurgitated music box, triple extended pennywhistles, miniature hand bell choir, obnoxiophone, glass bowls with red marbles, and a clutch of curious objects. A confusion of novelty, experimental and electronic, wild and entertaining.

Adam Matta is a beatboxer and vocal performance artist influenced by artists such as Rahzel, Mike Patton, and Meredith Monk. With an arsenal of vocal instrumentals including brass, beats, vocal scratches/turntablism, mechanical and other sound effects, Matta performs hip-hop, rock, drum 'n' bass, jazz, and Middle Eastern, sometimes all in the same composition.

$12 general admission, $15 day of show
