The David Zoffer Differential

Thursday / September 10, 2009 / 8:15 p.m.
Berklee Performance Center
136 Massachusetts Avenue
United States

The David Zoffer Differential's original double vocal prgressive funk/pop/jazz/rock/blues hybrid brings the incredibly powerful Muse Receptor portable music computer and Native Instruments Komplete 5 software suite to a high-energy live show. This technology addresses electric/electronic music live performance challenges that stem from low budgets, rising travel costs, and shorter setup time in performance venues with an environmentally concious, low-weight, great-sounding, and versatile solution. This concert will feature premieres of songs from the DZD's upcoming second CD as well as tunes from previous albums.

Zoffer, a Brookline resident, chairs New England Conservatory's pre-/continuing education and summer school jazz department, and is an assistant professor of contemporary writing and production at Berklee. The DZD is Zoffer on keys, guitar, vocals, and bass; Alexa on vocals; Isaak Haselkorn on drums; and Jamie Stewardson on guitar and bass. This event is made possible by Berklee's 2009 Faculty Fellowship Grant.
