The last Wednesday of each month through October, from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m., the Berklee Farmers Market, sponsored by ARAMARK, will bring local produce, cheese, and baked goods to the nexus of the Back Bay and Fenway neighborhoods. The same local and organic food that Berklee uses in its cafeteria—from Jansal Valley (Dartmouth, MA), Backyard Farms (Madison, ME), Jonathan Sprouts (Rochester, MA), La Ronga Bakery (Somerville, MA), and other local food growers and producers—will be for sale at cost. The market is open to the public.

"I really love farmers markets," said Jessica Mackool, director of food service at ARAMARK, Berklee's dining service provider. "My family has a farm stand at a farmer's market in my hometown. I wanted to showcase some of the healthy, fresh, local offerings we use daily in our dining operations to the Berklee community and our neighbors. Spring is the perfect time to wake up our taste buds, and we can be even more sustainable and lower our carbon footprint by bringing the farm right to us."
