Katie Thiroux

Katie Thiroux is a bassist and vocalist of outstanding talent and determination. While in her last semester at Berklee, the presidential scholar received an invitation to join the faculty at the University de San Francisco in Quito, Ecuador for one year. In August 2009, Thiroux began teaching more than 30 bass and vocal students. Currently, she is pursuing a master's degree in jazz studies at Bob Cole Conservatory of Music. She has performed with the likes of Dr. Billy Taylor, Branford Marsalis and Terri Lyne Carrington.

Originally from Boylston, Massachusetts, Glenn Zaleski is a jazz pianist/composer currently living in Brooklyn, New York. He attended the Brubeck Institute Fellowship program in Stockton, California from 2005-2007, then finished his undergraduate studies at the New School in 2009. From 2009-2011, while working towards his master's degree at NYU, Zaleski was also on NYU faculty, where he wrote the curriculum for and taught Jazz Keyboard Harmony I-IV, as well as a studio of private students. Meanwhile, he was also a finalist for the 2011 APA Cole Porter Fellowship in Jazz, and a semifinalist in the 2011 Thelonious Monk International Jazz Piano Competition.

Mark Zaleski is a woodwind specialist, performing professionally on all saxophones, clarinets, and flutes. He studied at the Dave Brubeck Institute in Stockton, Californai.  During his time at the Institute he performed at the Monterey Jazz Festival, the Dakota Jazz Club, Yoshi's, and the Library of Congress in Washington, D.C. he has experience performing with Bennie Maupin, Eric Harland, Christian McBride, and Dave Brubeck. 

Drummer Matt Witek graduated from Berklee in 2009 with a degree in music education.  Shortly after graduating, he was offered a teaching position at Berklee International Network School in Quito, Ecuador. In 2010 he moved to Long Beach to study at the Bob Cole Conservatory of Music on a full scholarship. 

Some of the members notable performances include club venues such as Catalina's, Regattabar, the Kitano, the Lighthouse, and festivals such as Rochester International Jazz Festival, the Monterey Jazz Festival (Berklee Monterey Quartet), BeanTown Jazz Festival, San Miguel Allende International Jazz Festival (Mexico), Quito International Jazz Festival (Ecuador), Punta de Este International Jazz Festival (Uruguay), Newport Beach Jazz Festival, and the Sweet & Hot Jazz Festival.
