Berklee World Strings presents a program celebrating the incredible diversity of international music and musicians at Berklee. The concert will feature world-renowned composers and soloists Simon Shaheen and Darol Anger, as well as the premiere of "Balkan Concerto III" by Berklee composer Jimmy Kachulis. Also featured will be first performances of several student works: "Be Late" by BWS concertmistress Echae Kang and electric bassist Evan Veenstra, "Blue Scheherezade" by violinist Rika Ikeda, and "Without Words" featuring violinist and vocalist Ada Pasternak. Rounding out the evening will be new arrangements of "Buscando Guayaba" by Ruben Blades, and"Armandoʼs Rhumba" by Chick Corea, and BWS director Eugene Friesenʼs "Sapphire."
