Ken Greenhouse Tribute Concert
Berklee Faculty members will pay musical tribute to Ken Greenhouse, former chair of the Voice Department, for his contributions to the college, as well as his contributions to the musical lives of hundreds of students who studied with him over the years. Ken was recently diagnosed with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS).
You'll hear wonderful music provided by members of a cappella group Vox One, as well as many other faculty members and alumni. There will be a combination of small ensemble and solo performances. Besides Vox One, the small ensembles include a small choir—called College Singers 2008—and a jazz trio. The solo performances will be performed by faculty members and alumni that had worked with Ken or studied with him while in school.
College Singers 2008, a group directed by Ken during his Berklee days, will perform an arrangement of his composition, "Some Other Time." Michael Gleichman will perform an original jazz instrumental piece, "Meditation," written for Ken.
