David Gilmore, guitarist and associate professor in the Guitar Department at Berklee, will perform his most recent works, as well as music from his past repertoire.
Gilmore has performed and recorded with many of today’s most influential artists, including Wayne Shorter, Steve Coleman, Christian McBride, Dave Douglas, and Rudresh Mahanthappa.
Voted a rising star by DownBeat, Gilmore’s style has been compared to guitarists as diverse as George Benson and Jimi Hendrix. His 2015 CD, Energies of Change, received 4½ stars from DownBeat. His latest album, Transitions, was released in February 2017.
