David Friend Recital Hall
The David Friend Recital Hall, located in the Genko Uchida building at 921 Boylston Street, is a semicircular performance space with a horseshoe-shaped balcony, designed by architect Shizuo Harada. The 160-person capacity venue uses a stage that can be moved to the center of the room, creating a performance-in-the-round environment.
This performance features classical music involving piano and other instruments, as well as piano duet.
ENSEMBLE / PARALLAX is a contemporary music and multimedia group led by Peyman Farzinpour, an assistant professor of composition at Berklee College of Music. The group will present a multimedia concert featuring the music of Rebecca Saunders and Farzinpour.
Jeannie Gagné's Pop/Rock/Country Ensemble performs original and classic tunes with an all-star rhythm section.
