Danny Wood’s music is much like the man behind it: passionate and heartfelt from start to finish. A founding and current member of New Kids on the Block (NKOTB), Wood has spent the past seven years on the road after the band got back together following a 15-year hiatus. They have been active as part of a package tour with Nelly and TLC, and have previously toured with Lady Gaga, Backstreet Boys, Natasha Bedingfield, and Boyz II Men. When he isn't on the road, Wood’s central passion is songwriting and recording his own music. His song "Shine," inspired by his mother’s memory, blossomed into a very personal, 17-track album with lyrics that pour out like the pages of a diary. The main motivation behind it was to raise money for a cancer foundation in his mother’s name, and Wood wrote and produced all the songs himself. His new album, Look at Me, reveals more of his trials, tribulations, and vulnerability. The title track and soon-to-be-released first single and video, "Look at Me" is a soulful rock ballad that is far removed from the music of NKOTB that he is best known for.
