Join Rick Beato, a prominent YouTuber, producer, jazz guitarist, songwriter, arranger, and teacher, for a conversation with Panos A. Panay, Berklee’s senior vice president for global strategy and innovation, on using social media as a 21st-century musician. With more than 1 million YouTube subscribers, Beato understands the effect social media can have on a musician’s career.

A graduate of the New England Conservatory, Beato has had a varied career. In 2013, he cowrote Parmalee’s “Carolina,” which climbed to no. 1 on Billboard’s Country Music Chart. He also is known for his YouTube channel, including the popular series “What Makes This Song Great?” and many educational videos.
