SOLD OUT: There are no tickets remaining for this event.

A veteran of the Boston music scene, Dave Minehan of the Replacements made his reputation leading a series of acclaimed pop and post-punk combos, including the Neighborhoods and Stardarts. A replacement Replacement, Minehan was tapped as the lead guitarist for Paul Westerberg’s first solo band in 1993. He fulfilled the same role during the Replacements’ much buzzed-about 2013-2015 reunion tour and has served as sideman with Aerosmith the Velvet Crush, and others. A successful record producer, Minehan owns Woolly Mammoth Sound Studios in Waltham, Massachusetts.

Minehan will chat with Bob Mehr, an award-winning music critic for the Gannett-owned newspaper The Commercial Appeal and a longtime contributor to MOJO magazine. Mehr will sign and discuss his book, Trouble Boys: The True Story of the Replacements. Mehr has served as an editor, writer, and columnist for Village Voice Media/New Times Media and the Chicago Reader. He has contributed liner notes to the Grammy-winning Big Star box set Keep an Eye on the Sky and has written essays for reissues of the Replacements, the Kinks, Warren Zevon, Dixie Chicks, Al Green, and many others.
