Christian Galvez: Chord Melody and Contemporary Concepts for Solo Bass

In this master class, bassist Christian Galvez will discuss different topics of harmony applied to the electric bass and different paths for the development of improvised solos. The concepts discussed will include triads, seventh chords, melody and chord connection, bass and chord lines, and much more.
Galvez, who is influenced by John Patitucci and Stanley Clarke, has an original virtuoso style, colorful and musical, where the use of harmony and chords are a key part of his language.
He has recorded 13 albums and three DVDs, and performed live with the most prestigious orchestras in Chile, Bolivia, and Panama.
