Berklee Summer in the CityThe Bonobros Trio
The Bonobros Trio was formed in the spring of 2014 by three Berklee students. They first met in a “Singing for Brass Players” class taught by Christine Fawson, a trumpet professor. One of their first times playing together, the trio struck up a tight and dynamic aesthetic, playing through American Songbook standards. After the class, the trio went to the nearest hallway with instruments in hand, took a photo, entitled the group (with the help of Professor Fawson), and the rest was history. The Bonobros Trio is composed of Matt Byron on bass, Neal Rosenthal on trumpet/guitar/vocals, and Elena Bonomo on drums, pulling from the styles of jazz, bop, funk, rock, R&B, and many more.
