Please see the full events listing for upcoming events.
The Jazz Urbane, an evolving and multi-generational group of artists comprised of Berklee students, faculty, and alumni, will debut work from its new album, Playing with Other People’s Heads. At Scullers Jazz Club, the group, established by Berklee Africana Studies leader Bill Banfield, will be joined by special guest Tia Fuller for the performance of songs from the new album, which was guided by the late Grammy Award-winning executive producer George Duke.
Duke mentored Banfield and the Jazz Urbane prior to passing away in 2013. Playing with Other People’s Heads took seven years to complete and features more than 30 Berklee faculty, students, and alumni, including Terri Lyne Carrington, Christian Scott, Greg Osby, and Grace Kelly, among many others.
