Berk Recital Hall

For this concert, several Berklee Global Jazz Institute students will perform original compositions and improvisations based on works of art at the Boston Museum of Fine Arts.

The concert is a final presentation of pieces that BGJI students have prepared during the spring 2014 semester in Creativity and Expression in the Arts, a class taught by Liberal Arts faculty member Anthony Scibilia, in conjunction with Danilo Perez, Marco Pignataro, and other Global Jazz Institute faculty members.

The presentation will include musical performances by all of the students enrolled in the class (Vivienne Aerts, voice; Seungho Jang, bass; Mao Sone, trumpet; Takafumi Suenaga, piano; Hironori Suzuki, percussion; and Jharis Yokley, percussion) and will be accompanied by projected images of the works of art on which the musical compositions are based.
