This Berklee Global Jazz Institute (BGJI) forum features John Patitucci and Joe Lovano. 

Two-time Grammy Award-winning bassist John Patitucci has performed throughout the world and as a studio musician with Wayne Shorter, Herbie Hancock, Dizzy Gillespie, Stan Getz, Pat Metheny, and Wynton Marsalis, among others. He is currently a visiting scholar at Berklee, teaching in both the Berklee Global Jazz Institute and the Bass Department. 

Grammy-­winning saxophonist, composer, and arranger Lovano attended Berklee in the early 1970s and received an honorary doctor of music degree from the college in 1998. He has collaborated with many legendary musicians, including McCoy Tyner, Hank Jones, Joshua Redman, Bill Frisell, Branford Marsalis, Jim Hall, and Paul Motian. 

The BGJI is a performance program designed to foster creativity and musicianship through various musical disciplines. The BGJI provides a comprehensive contemporary music environment where students are given opportunities to explore their creativity to the highest level possible, advance the power of music as a tool for the betterment of society, and connect musical creative thinking with the natural environment.
