Jessie Cox created the Art Note Project to incorporate music, poetry, costumes, electronic sounds, and small acting parts into his music. The Art Note Project aims to create memorable and unique experiences through music. Due to the nature of improvisation, every show presented is different, while keeping a consistent repertoire for returning audiences.

Cox describes his music as "cosmic jazz and jazz concrete instrumental," drawing inspiration from composers such as Helmut Lachenmann, Karlheinz Stockhausen, Sun Ra, Steve Lehmann, and Flume, among others.

Cox met his team of amazing musicians at Berklee College of Music. For the past three years he has been working with the members of the Art Note Project on many different occasions and in various projects. The group comprises musicians Nathan See on alto sax, Jake Hirsch on tenor sax, Maher Beauroy (Martinique) on piano, Lucy Clifford (Australia) on bass, and Jessie Cox (Switzerland) on drums.
