Daniel Sadownick, a conga player and percussionist extraordinaire, and the Planet MicroJam Institute, under the direction of David Fiuczynski, perform microtonal versions of compositions by Sadownick and the Art Ensemble of Chicago.

Sadownick has worked with the Roots, Taylor Swift, Beyoncé, Steely Dan, and Dennis Chambers, among many others.

The Art Ensemble of Chicago is an avant-garde jazz group that formed in the late 1960s. The ensemble integrates many jazz styles and percussion instruments, including unusual “little instruments” such as bicycle horns, party noisemakers, and wind chimes.

Musicians include Lydia Harrell (vox), Emily Gelineau (violin), Isaac Parks (microtonal keyboards), Hanbeom Lee (fretless bass), Masaaki Saito (fretless bass), Travis Forencich (fretless guitar) Rihards Kolmanis (fretless guitar), and John MacDonald (drums).
