With an R&B, soul, and funk style, Arantza Vazquez's main influences are Aretha Franklin, Chaka Khan, Beyoncé, Michael Jackson, Joss Stone, and Christina Aguilera. Born and raised in Mexico City, Vazquez was introduced to singing by her grandmother at age five and started publicly performing at age 12. In the summer of 2011, she was selected to perform for the final Singers Showcase of Berklee's Five-Week Summer Performance Program from out of 200 people that auditioned. In 2013, she obtained a scholarship to study as an undergraduate at Berklee.
While studying at Berklee, Arantza has performed at the Annual Encore Gala with the Motown and Tower of Power ensembles, won the Perfect Pitch 2015 songwriting contest, performed at Berklee's production of the musical Dream Girls, recorded several original compositions, and performed as the lead singer in 2017's Singers Showcase, among other accomplishments. A performance and songwriting major, Vazquez has evolved into a very experienced performer. She has performed in Mexico, the U.S., and Spain, from small venues up to a 10,000-seat auditorium. She is currently working on her first EP, which will be officially released at the end of 2017.
