Andres Guerra (Virtual Concert)
The #BerkleeAnywhere Concert Series features Berklee College of Music and Boston Conservatory at Berklee students performing virtually, from wherever they are in the world. We may be separated by distance, but music empowers us to unite. Wherever you are, we invite you to connect with us every Tuesday at 8:00 p.m. EDT on Berklee’s IGTV and Facebook pages.
About the Artist
Venezuelan composer, arranger, and not-so-classical guitarist Andres Guerra blends the rich tradition of the classical guitar repertoire and technique with improvisation, offering a wide variety of musical styles—such as Latin Jazz, contemporary classical, and pop—in his solo performances. He has played in concert and collaborated with a wide variety of artists, including Grammy-winning Aida Cuevas; Berta Rojas; and Paquito D'Rivera. He is currently pursuing a dual major in film scoring and performance at Berklee. Guerra is a recipient of a Berklee scholarship, and a Gifted Tuition Scholarship from the Latin Grammy Cultural Foundation. Recently, he earned an achievement award from Berklee's Guitar Department.
