Anastassiya Petrova
Anastassiya Petrova is a jazz pianist composer and arranger from Kazakhstan. She has participated in festivals in Italy, Bulgaria, Russia, and the U.S. Her inspirations include contemporary jazz pianists such as C. Corea, H.Hancock, and B. Mehldau. Her recital is dedicated to the emotions that occur while playing music, the process of improvisation led by intuition, and the special connection between fellow musicians that lead to miracles in music. Motions of emotions and emotions of motion will be represented by dancers involved in the show. The program will feature Kazakh folk tunes mixed with jazz styles and the explorations of odd meters expressed in her own original compositions.
