Amber Olivia Kiner was born in Memphis, Tennessee on March 23, 1996. Music came naturally to her when she was just a toddler. At the age of 2, she started singing in her grandfather's Missionary Baptist church. While also doing ballet, tap dance and gymnastics, combining music and dance was second nature for Amber. Starting at the age of 3, Amber Olivia started studying the greats such as Beyoncé, Michael Jackson, Tina Turner, and James Brown. Entertaining became a part of Amber. She would perform at all family gatherings, sing the national anthem at her own gymnastics meets, and participate in talent shows all around the mid-South. "Amber would sing for anyone who would listen," says her mother, Alisha Kiner. Her deep love for soul and R&B music sparked her inspiration to begin writing her own music as a teenager. She had the opportunity to perform on the BET Stellar Awards when she was 15 years old behind Memphis gospel-recording artist Earnest Pugh. In the fall of 2014, Amber Olivia began studying at Berklee College of Music as an undergraduate student to learn more about the music business. She has recently shared the stage with the Beyoncé Original All Female Band at the Berklee Performance Center singing along side Beyonce’s background vocalist Chrissy Collins, and dancing alongside Ebony Williams, Beyonce’s original dancer from the “Single Ladies” video. Amber Olivia’s debut EP was just released.
