Seventh Annual Business of Hip-Hop/Urban Music Symposium
Presented by Berklee’s Professional Education division and the Music Business/Management department, the Seventh Annual Business of Hip-Hop/Urban Music Symposium: The ATLanta Connect will feature Grammy-nominated recording artist Kenny Lattimore; Kim Osorio, editor-in-chief of The Source; as well as industry veterans Shanti Das, Cappriccieo Scates, Mike Trammel, and multiple Grammy-winner Prince Charles Alexander.
In addition to general urban music business practices, this year’s symposium will focus on production, multimedia, and artist development skills. The symposium will explore best practices, challenges, and executive development, and will feature a particular focus on the Atlanta and Southern markets.
The evening will begin with a special performance by students in ensembles led by Raydar Ellis, and will close with a Q&A session moderated by Osorio and Trammel. This event will also help to prepare students who may elect to participate in Berklee’s annual Atlanta trip, which takes place in March. Additional program updates will be announced on Twitter.
