Ensemble Room Reservations

We currently have 13 ensemble rooms in the 130, 136, and 150 Massachusetts Avenue complexes available for use during the spring 2023 semester. (There are also three rooms in the Uchida building at 921 Boylston Street; however, these will not be available for fall.)

Reservation requests are processed on a first-come, first-served basis. You can only reserve one rehearsal room or Fordham Road rehearsal room per day. You are able to reserve up to three days in advance. At 8:00 p.m. each evening, the system resets; for example, on Wednesday at 8:00 p.m., time slots on Saturday will become available for reservations.

How to Reserve a Room

  1. You can reserve a room by logging in to the reservation site. Watch a video tutorial on how to use the system.
  2. Covid Policy Changes: Berklee has previously eliminated various Covid-era requirements related to building access, visitors, indoor activities, face coverings/masks, and travel. Future changes will continue to align with CDC guidelines and Massachusetts Department of Health recommendations
  3. An email notification will be sent to you confirming your reservation.

Note: Rooms can only be claimed by the person who submitted the reservation. In order to maintain room accountability, other band members will not be allowed to claim the room.

What to Do When You Arrive for Your Ensemble Rehearsal

  1. Check in for your room reservation by visiting room A01 in 130 Massachusetts Avenue. Have your student ID ready—only the student who booked the room can check in. Please try to arrive at least five minutes early. If you’re more than 10 minutes late, your room reservation will be canceled
  2. After checking in, proceed to the reserved ensemble room, and an ensemble office staff member will open the room for you. You are not allowed to enter an ensemble room under any circumstance unless it is opened for you by the ensemble office staff. Students found in rooms they did not check in to risk suspension.
  3. Halfway through your rehearsal, you will be instructed to switch to your second designated ensemble room. For example, if you’ve reserved a room from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., you’ll be asked to switch at 7:00 p.m. to your new room.
  4. Be completely out of the room by your designated end time. Below is a chart of every available booking time and its corresponding end time:
Reservation Start Time     End Time
12:00 p.m.    1:55 p.m.
2:00 p.m.  3:55 p.m.
4:00 p.m.    5:55 p.m.
