Piano Department Associate Professor Kevin Harris joins Assistant Professor of Dance Ruka White in an exploration of the important overlap of pan-African influenced dance, movement, and music in the United States, from swing rhythms, black gospel, and rent parties to hip-hop and neo-soul. The performance also will feature alumnus Tyson Jackson on drums and Associate Professor Mimi Jones on acoustic bass.

Soundboard is a Berklee Piano Department collective that explores the artistic and pedagogical development of students and faculty through diversity, equity, and broadened cultural perspectives.
