30-Minute Mentoring Sessions


Get some one-on-one time with an industry expert. You must submit the sign-up form to select your top five preferences from the list of participanting mentors. You will be notified by the Career Center on April 1 with mentor session specifics.

  • Location: Study rooms in 150 Massachusetts Avenue
  • Time: From 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and from 2:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. (30-minute time slots)

Legal Matters Walk-Ins: Ask a Lawyer


Have you ever had a question for a lawyer, but didn’t have the money to pay their hourly fee? Want to know how to protect and/or make money from your music or other art? Need to address issues around working as or with a producer, songwriter, recording artist, band, or artistic company?

Take advantage of this opportunity to meet with attorneys Valerie Lovely and Todd Gardner (Music Business/Management Department faculty), and retired attorneys Don Gorder and Tonya Butler (Music Business/Management Department chairs).

  • Time: From 10:00 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. and from 2:45 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Career Jam will feature employer recruitment and resource tables in the 150 Massachusetts Avenue building from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Students are encouraged to visit with recruiters and representatives to learn more about each organization and to seek out job and internship opportunities along with career resources. The Career Center recommends that you research each organization thoroughly and come prepared with copies of your résumé.
