student in studio

Berkleeā€™s Boston campus provides a variety of state-of-the-art academic technology facilities, from individual lab stations to studios big enough to record a large ensemble or orchestra. The facilities are stocked with industry-standard equipment to support the technology-specific programs and concepts: recording, sound design, composition, immersive audio, interactive media, MIDI sequencing, music production, acoustics, digital audio, signal processing, multimedia production, computer programming, control systems, and more.

The various technology facilities are designed for teaching, with many rooms specialized for specific curriculums or technology needs. Students attend classes and follow up to complete their coursework and projects during studio and lab time. These spaces are open seven days a week, with the studios open 22 hours per day. The technology facilities offer students comprehensive firsthand experience with a wide range of professional equipment, and support various college needs, including classes, student time, visiting artist events, workshops, faculty recording grants, and special events.
