World Scholarship Tour (Live Audition)

Eligibility and Guidelines

Each year, live auditions and interviews are conducted in Boston and around the world for students pursuing their dream of studying at Berklee. Because an audition and interview are required for admission to Berklee, priority for live audition spaces is given to applicants for the upcoming academic year. All applicants are strongly encouraged to visit the Berklee campus to complete their audition and interview, tour our facilities, and meet with Berklee faculty, students, and staff. Due to the demand in certain cities, applicants may be scheduled for their audition and interview in Boston regardless of their preference for one of our tour locations. Click here for a list of upcoming audition dates and locations. The majority of our auditions are held in Boston because we are able to accommodate more students at our main campus. Students that are traveling to an audition site outside of their country of permanent residence should check their visa requirements and allow plenty of time for travel arrangements.

Please identify yourself as one of the following types of applicants and click on that link to apply for a live audition. Please note that applicants to our full-time program are given priority for audition spaces over other applicants due to space limitations.

  1. Applicant to Berklee for the upcoming academic year

    • You wish to apply for the summer, fall, or spring semesters. All applicants to the full-time program will be considered for scholarships through our audition and interview process. Scholarship decisions for accepted full-time applicants are issued via email shortly after admissions decisions are issued.
  2. Scholarship–Only Audition Request

    • You have already been accepted and plan to enter in the summer, fall, or spring semesters, you have not auditioned within the past year, and would like to audition for scholarship consideration. Scholarship decisions for scholarship-only accepted applicants will be issued via email prior to the intended semester of entry for these applicants.
    • You are a student at one of our Berklee International Network partner schools (for list of participating schools, click here) and not ready to apply for admission to Berklee, but would like to participate in a live audition for future scholarship consideration. Scholarship decisions for BIN students students will be issued via email according to the agreement with the partner school. Please check with your partner school for details.
    • You do not wish to apply for the summer, fall, or spring semesters. You are not ready to graduate high school but would like to participate in a live audition for possible scholarship consideration to the Five-Week Summer Performance Program. Scholarship decisions for these scholarship-only applicants will be issued via email six to eight weeks prior to the start of the Five-Week Summer Performance Program.

If you are an applicant for admission and cannot identify yourself as one of the above three types of scholarship-only applicants, email us at scholarships@berklee.edu for further assistance.

While we cannot guarantee audition spaces for scholarship-only applicants, we will do our best to accommodate as many audition requests as possible.
