Directions to Berklee College of Music
Berklee is conveniently located in the heart of Boston and is accessible from all of the city's major highways and via air, train, bus, and car. For help planning your trip to Boston and Berklee, please visit www.bostonvisit.com.
By Air
Boston is served by Logan International Airport. Taxi stands are located outside of most baggage claim areas. You can also board an airport bus to the Airport MBTA station located on the Blue Line, part of Boston's subway system. To get to Berklee, take an inbound train and transfer at Government Center (4 stops) to a Green Line inbound "B", "C", or "D" train and get off at the Hynes Convention Center/ICA stop, also called "Auditorium" (5 stops). General fare is $1.25 per person.
By Train/Bus
Boston is serviced by Amtrak, major bus lines such as Greyhound, Peter Pan, and Bonanza, and local MBTA bus and commuter train service.
For sightseeing, the MBTA system can be a fun and exciting way to see Boston. General one-way fare on all subways, trolleys, and streetcars is $1.25 per person. Bus fare is 90¢ per person.
The MBTA's "Boston Visitor Pass" may be a viable transportation solution if you are planning to visit for multiple days. These passes are available in three denominations: One Day Pass - $7.50, Three Day Pass - $18.00 (consecutive days), Seven Day Pass - $35.00 (consecutive days). These passes are valid for UNLIMITED service on all subways, buses, and inner harbor ferries. For further information on schedules, bus routes, and MBTA station locations, visit www.mbta.com.
Please Note: while partially handicap-accessible, the MBTA has many stairs, and service closest to Berklee (the Green Line) is trolleys with four-step entrances. This is rarely practical for moving large groups of students with instruments, luggage, etc. We suggest you arrange alternate local transportation for your trip into and out of Boston.
