Visiting Berklee
While we have endeavored to give you as informative and thorough a sense of Berklee as possible via this web site and our other publications, none of these can adequately represent the unique place that is Berklee College of Music. We strongly encourage all who can to visit the college, take a tour, and attend any number of our concerts, recitals, and other special events.
To get the real flavor of the college and truly see how we sound, we recommend that you plan your visit to coincide with one of our best times to visit. For ways of getting to campus, see directions to Berklee.
There are four types of on-campus visits: Open House, Admissions Campus Tours, Information Sessions, and Group Tours.
Saturday Open Houses
Saturday open houses offer a chance to learn more about Berklee. At the open house, you will hear a performance by a Berklee student ensemble; attend an information session; meet representatives from the Office of Admissions, the Office of Scholarships and Student Employment, and various other areas; and go on a student-led tour of Berklee's facilities. Reservations for Saturday open houses are required, as space is limited. Sessions will last approximately three to four hours. Light refreshments will be served. To make a reservation, contact us at 617 747-2221.
Student-led Campus Tours
Campus tours are student-led tours, lasting one to one-and-a-half hours. By visiting our classrooms, studios, practice rooms, labs, and more, you'll discover what sets Berklee apart from all other institutions. Tours are available when the college is in session, except during finals week. Tours are scheduled for 12:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Tours leave from the Office of Admissions (Genko Uchida Building, 921 Boylston Street, sixth floor). Reservations are strongly recommended, as space is limited. To make a reservation, contact the admissions office at 617 747-2221. Because this is a walking tour, we ask that you let us know in advance if you or anyone in your party has special needs so that we may accommodate them.
Admissions Information Sessions
Information sessions are presentations that give you an opportunity to meet with an admissions representative and get answers specific to questions you may have about the college. Information sessions are held at 10:15 a.m., Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, when the college is in session. Upon arrival, check in with the admissions office to confirm that day's information session location. During finals week and between semesters, information sessions are not offered. Reservations are strongly encouraged, as space is limited. To make a reservation, contact the admissions office at 617 747-2221. We ask that you let us know in advance if you or anyone in your party has special needs so that we may accommodate them.
- Group Tours are offered to groups of more than 15 people and no more than 75. In an effort to ensure everyone fully experiences our campus, our tours are limited in size. If you are planning to visit with a group of more than 15 people, we request that you contact us to set up a Group Tour.
