Ernie Boch, Jr.

Original Appointment: June 2005

Ernie Boch, Jr., heads a multifaceted, billion-dollar empire that began in 1946 when his grandfather, Andrew Boch, acquired a Nash dealership on Route 1 in Norwood, Massachusetts, now more commonly known as the "Automile." Boch grew up and still resides in the town of Norwood, along with his wife, Kristen, and their two children, Kelsey and Alexander.

The growth of Boch Enterprises continued in 1971 when Ernie's father, the legendary Ernie Boch, Sr., acquired Oldsmobile, Toyota, and Mitsubishi franchises and the New England distributorship for Subaru automobiles. The Boch organization went on to acquire Kia and Honda franchises, and in 2004 a Dodge franchise and an additional Toyota dealership were added.

Boch has been in the automobile business for 33 years, starting as a lot boy and progressing within the Boch organization from used car salesman to general manager. In 1996 his father promoted him to vice president in charge of all the Boch retail operations. After the death of his father in July 2003, Boch stepped up to take charge of the entire Boch organization, with interests ranging from automobiles to real estate.

The Boch family has always generously donated to the community. Ernie Boch continues this practice by making significant contributions to major charities in the greater Boston area. He also gives back to his home town of Norwood in the form of a yearly college scholarship, as well as an annual contribution to the Andrew B. Boch Betterment Fund, named in honor of his grandfather.

Boch, a graduate of Berklee College of Music, still plays the guitar and appreciates traditional jazz (bebop) and modern rock, and lists Miles Davis, Charlie Parker, John McLaughlin, and Mike Stern among his all-time favorites.
