Student Activities
The Student Activities Center runs the Student Organizations and Activities Program (SOAP), which has been developed to broaden, enrich, and support students' educational experience.
With student interest, many clubs and organizations have developed and many others are possible. Students who are interested in joining existing clubs, have an idea for a club or organization, or would like further information, may contact the director of student activities. Student Activities also keeps the schedules of dining hall shows, offers leadership workshops, recreation and fitness opportunities, and works with the student government.
If you have any questions about student activities, please send a message to us at studentactivities@berklee.edu. Or stop by the Student Activities Center on Boylston Street. Enter the Uchida building at 921 Boyston Street and go to the third floor, where you'll find the walkway to Student Activities.
And for those of you ready to participate in the democratic process, be sure to request a voter registration form online.
The Mayor's Office has launched a website to help you learn more about Boston, be sure to check it out.

Cafe Shows
After 10:00 p.m., the Dining Hall becomes Berklee's own nightclub booked by students for students, hosting student performances, revues and all-out parties. Every night of the week you'll find something happening there as part of the Cafe Show program.
Leadership Workshops
In order to succeed in the competitive world of music, you must understand and possess the ability to communicate clearly, make a positive impression and inspire those around you. The Student Activities Center organizes an extensive program of workshops focused on various aspects of leadership to help you in your academic and career pursuits.
Student Government
Berklee's broad-based system of governance relies on participation from all areas of the college community. The Council of Students represents the voice and perspectives of students regarding all of the issues reviewed by the college. Students are also asked to serve on a wide variety of college committees that advise administrators on such topics as the college's master plan, honorary degree recipients, Web site, and academic and student policies. And many of our student leaders have opportunity to meet with the president, vice presidents and trustees during the academic year to discuss current issues, concerns and institutional activities.
Student-Run Enterprises
To say students at Berklee are motivated is an understatement. Along with securing gigs around town and beyond, networking with industry professionals, and hitting the books, of course, they're busy running enterprises of their own. If you happen to have that entrepreneurial bug, you're sure to find one to suit your interests and talents; take your pick from record labels, a campus newspaper, a music business journal, a literary magazine, an internet radio station, and a café/music venue.
Health and Fitness Programs
Berklee's LiveWell program covers all aspects of wellness, including fitness, nutrition, and healthy sleep habits. Free courses, consultations, and exams are offered throughout the year.
Berklee has partnered with nearby fitness facilities to offer students discounted or no-cost memberships. Students can access the YMCA, the Tennis and Racquet Club, the Boston Kung Fu Tai Chi Institute, and the fitness centers of both Emerson College and Simmons College. Berklee also offers opportunities for students to participate in Division III, Varsity sports through Emerson College, intramural sports through Simmons College, and community sports through Boston Ski and Sports Club. In addition, several student clubs focus on recreation activities such as soccer, basketball, and yoga.
