The college has reduced its energy use by 8% since 2006, by updating lighting systems; installing automatic controls for heating, ventilation, and air conditioning equipment; and upgrading to more efficient appliances; and more, including:

• Timers for Temperature Control - A computerized central heating/cooling control system maintains temperatures only during occupied hours.
• Lighting Sensors - Occupancy sensors are currenlty being rolled out in dorms and other buildings across campus.
