The Berklee Global Jazz Institute is a performance program designed to foster creativity and musicianship, with pianist and composer Danilo Perez as its artistic director. The BGJI Summer Program provides a comprehensive contemporary music environment where students are given opportunities to explore their creativity to the highest level possible, while being mentored by world-renowned jazz artists.
The three-day program is designed to help instrumentalists and vocalists with unique talent and wide-ranging musical interests achieve their artistic goals through an experiential approach. Developing artists who seek to evolve to the highest levels--as both musicians and human beings--will find a true home in the program's environment, which will provide both the support and the range of challenges necessary for sustained creative growth.

What's the schedule?
The three-day program will include ensembles, workshops, master classes, lectures, student and faculty concerts, yoga for musicians, and lots of opportunities to jam.
Where will I eat and sleep?
Applicants will be sent information and an application for residence hall housing once accepted to the program. Most program participants elect to stay in the Berklee residence halls; however, space is limited. To optimize your chances for on-campus housing, you must return the housing application immediately upon receiving it.
