Why Soundbreaking? Your Impact on Berklee’s Mission and the Future of Music

Berklee's international campus in Valencia, Spain

Driven by ambitious yet attainable goals, Soundbreaking: The Campaign for Berklee will make a crucial and lasting impact on the lives of music students and strengthen communities throughout the world by advancing the educational, economic, and therapeutic benefits of music. Soundbreaking is about:

  • Supporting and strengthening our varied modes of contemporary musical instruction, including in-person and online learning in formats for the individual and the ensemble; and with majors reflecting a diverse span of music-related careers.

  • Expanding and enhancing our programs to produce a new generation of music professionals, including performers, producers, composers, entrepreneurs, technologists, educators, and therapists, just to name a few.

  • Growing our global reach to create broader opportunities for musical collaboration, work which has begun with our course offerings to more than 500,000 online students in 150 countries; our international expansion via our Valencia, Spain campus and 19 Berklee International Network schools; and our scholarship offers, which increase access for students all over the world.

Ultimately, though, Soundbreaking is about you and the impact your participation makes in turning our shared priorities into realities.
