The Public Safety Department will respond to all non-emergency requests provided that they are not engaged in matters of a higher priority.
Public Safety ensures that only authorized individuals are granted access to certain areas, especially residence halls. This is accomplished by having both physical (posted officers) and electronic (access badge readers) measures in place.
Public Safety officers maintain a visible presence by continually patrolling the campus. This is done to ensure the safety of the community and aims to seek out unsafe conditions, prevent unauthorized access, and prevent theft and vandalism.
Public Safety investigates all matters brought to the department's attention in order to bring each matter to closure.
Public Safety provides escorts to members of the Berklee community upon request. In general, these escorts are available between Berklee buildings, but we can also escort you to your car if it's parked in the area, or to the T stop at Mass. Ave. and Boylston
Due to the very limited parking in the area, Berklee Public Safety is responsible for enforcing the parking regulations on Berklee property. Only authorized parkers are allowed in designated spaces. Any vehicles not authorized to park in these spots will be towed at the owner's expense.
The department utilizes a teletypewriter (TTY) for communication with hearing challenged individuals.

Public Safety maintains the Lost and Found program for the college. Public Safety will store and attempt to return to the owner any items that are turned over to the department.
The Public Safety Department will, upon request, open doors for members of the community who have lost or forgotten their keys. The person making the request must have a valid Berklee picture ID card and have a legitimate reason for needing access to the area.
