Reporting Crimes or Emergencies
Berklee students, faculty, staff, and guests are encouraged to promptly and accurately report all crimes and public safety-related incidents to the Boston Police Department (BPD) or Berklee Public Safety. To report a crime, emergency or suspicious activity, the community should call the Boston Police Department at 911 or 617 343-4911. Alternately, Berklee Public Safety can also be called at 617 747-2333 (extension 2333 on campus). The report can also be made directly in person to any Berklee personnel, including the Control Center located in the basement of 155 Massachusetts Avenue.
Addtionally, Public Safety provides 24-hour emergency call boxes for the Berklee community. These boxes are strategically placed throughout the campus and have blue lights within the unit. When activated, the call box connects to the Public Safety control center, and the appropriate response to the situation will be dispatched. Public Safety will investigate all incidents, when it is deemed appropriate, and some reports are forwarded to the appropriate office at Berklee for review and potential action. Public Safety encourages community members to contact the Boston Police Department, or other authorities, when necessary, and will also contact said authorities when their assistance is needed.
