Inauguration Photo Gallery
When Berklee installed Roger H. Brown as the third president in its 59-year history, the college marked the first-of-its-kind event in grand fashion. Introducers included singer/songwriter James Taylor, and President Brown presented his first two honorary doctor of music degrees to r&b vocalist Chaka Khan and jazz/funk drummer Dennis Chambers.
The day-long event, held on Friday, December 3, 2004, was also filled with music, including concert cameos by Khan and Chambers and a special guest appearance on two tunes by percussionist/vocalist Vinx.
