The Inauguration and Installation of Berklee's Third President
Berklee will inaugurate its third-ever president, Roger H. Brown, on Friday, December 3, 2004. The inauguration week, leading up to Friday's installation of the new president, will feature a variety of opportunities for the Berklee community to honor our past, celebrate our present, and usher in our future. Concerts ranging from jazz to gospel and a series of faculty panel discusssions are on tap, beginning on Monday, November 29. It will all culminate on Friday with the inauguration ceremony and concert. You can expect to see dignitaries from the Berkee community and beyond. At the inauguration ceremony, special guest James Taylor will perform and vocalist Chaka Khan and drummer Dennis Chambers will receive honorary doctor of music degrees. All events are open to the public, and take place at the Berklee Performance Center, 136 Mass Ave., or the David Friend Recital Hall, 921 Boylston Street.
