Performing Alumni to Include Susan Tedeschi & Dennis Montgomery III
Alumna Lalah Hathaway to Sing Original Song "Boston" during Live Videocast from Los Angeles
BOSTON, November 18, 2003 Some of Berklee's best-ever singers and instrumentalists, both students and alumni, will be under one roof on Thursday, December 11, for Singers' Showcase. That night the Berklee classic will mark its 20th year of belting, cooing, hollering and scatting a true showcase from the center of the contemporary vocal universe.
This is the fourth concert of Song's Nothing Conservatory About It Concert Series, presented by Song, Delta Air Lines' new low-fare subsidiary, and Berklee College of Music. Adding to the festivities at Singers' Showcase 20th Anniversary, a pair of roundtrip airline tickets from Song will be drawn for one lucky concertgoer.

The concert will take place in the historic Berklee Performance Center, 136 Massachusetts Avenue, in Boston at 8:15 p.m. For ticket information call (617) 747-2261. Individual tickets for this show are $10 ($15 preferred seating); seniors $7.50 ($11.25 preferred seating).
The alumni artists on this show honed their performance skills while Berklee students in Singers' Showcases, on the very stage on which they will be performing. Alumni vocalists will include Susan Tedeschi, Lalah Hathaway, Dennis Montgomery III, Robin McElhatten, Jeff Ramsey, Darcel Wilson, Trina Hamlin, Sherma Andrews, Ellen O'Brien, and Deanna DellaCioppa.
Hathaway will be performing with fellow Berklee alumni in The Screening Theater, Dolby Labs, Los Angeles, and her performance will be presented in Boston onstage via live videocast. Appropriately, she will be singing her song "Boston," an original from an upcoming CD.
Each semester, 90 to 100 student vocalists audition for the chance to perform onstage in the Berklee Performance Center in Singers' Showcase, which is traditionally presented in the fall and in the spring. Of this pool of talent, eight have been chosen to perform on this show: Dan McClain, Kamaria Ousley, Natalie Stovall, Lisa Goolsby, Katie Locke, Stacy Baker, Christy Bluhm, and Jeremy Ragsdale.
The night's entertainment will also feature a rocking 13-piece band, background vocals, dancing, lights, and three camera video with rear projection. Musical styles will include pop, r&b, Latin, blues, jazz, and country. There will be both originals and standards.
To quote Singers' Showcase producer Rob Rose, "We are delighted that these alumni have taken time out of their busy schedules to come back to the college for this show. This promises to be an incredible performance of established and emerging talent."
