OS X 10.9 Mavericks and Berklee

As many of you are already aware, Apple released OS X 10.9 Mavericks on Tuesday, October 22 as a free download/upgrade. Berklee Technology Resources currently advises against this upgrade until the operating system can be fully tested for compatibility with key administrative and production software already in use at the college.

Looping in Sync with Ableton Live

Once relegated to ambient electronic artists, in recent years live looping has become more of a mainstream performance technique. From jazz to rock to folk, artists such as Andrew Bird, Minus the Bear, Bill Frisell and Zoe Keating incorporate live looping into their shows to great effect. Live looping is exciting and ultimately a bit dangerous, but the results can astound and move audiences.
