Win BeanTown Jazz Tickets
The Berklee BeanTown Jazz Festival is more than the free outdoor festival on Saturday, September 26. This year, BeanTown stretches for a full week, with events taking place in venues all over the Boston area, including Regattabar at the Charles Hotel, the Scullers Jazz Club, and Wally's Café. Artistic director Terri Lyne Carrington has pulled together an impressive list of artists—Ahmad Jamal, Kurt Elling, Branford Marsalis, and more—to provide a counterpoint to the daytime festival and highlight the great jazz that takes place throughout the Boston area all year long. Purchase tickets to these shows at beantownjazz.org.
You can also win two tickets to the Friday, September 25 concert at the Berklee Performance Center. It's sure to be a historic night, bringing together saxophonist David Sanborn, pianist/vocalist/composer Amina Claudine Myers, and vocalist Kevin Mahogany.
To enter, email promotions@berklee.edu with your name, email address, and the name of your favorite jazz artist. Winners will be identified by email before the concert date. All email addresses are for contact purposes only, and will be kept confidential.
Whet your appetite with "Water Meter" by Berklee alumnus Donald Harrison. The saxophonist's sound melds acoustic swing with modern r&b, second-line, hip-hop, New Orleans roots music, and reggae, and is just one of the many styles showcased at the weeklong festival.
