A native of Trinidad and Tobago, faculty bassist, steel drummer, and composer Ron Reid has established himself as a master of calypso and soca music over the past 30 years. His Sunsteel Sextet is made up entirely of Berklee faculty and alumni, and along with student drummer Jazz Robertson, they’ll give a free show in early August as part of Berklee’s Summer Concert Series.
