Berklee's free summer concert series is in full swing, with shows all around the city and as far away as Salem. Check out the Berklee Latin Jazz All-Stars, performing three shows during the concert series (one under the name La Timbistica) and featured in this month's podcast. With so many shows this summer, there's bound to be one near you.

Summer is the time for music festivals. Read on to find out about Berklee students' performance at the Montreal Jazz Festival, the Monterey Festival Next Generation Orchestra's appearance at the Berklee Performance Center, and associate professor Nancy Zeltsman's foundation of a marimba festival in L.A., now in its eighth year.

Free Summer Shows

All summer long, Berklee students and alumni present free live music in Boston and beyond.

  Juan Chavez   Kendall Square Concert Series and Harborwalk Sounds

All shows are on Thursdays, 12:00 p.m.-2:00 p.m. at Kendall Square, 300 Athenaeum Street, Cambridge, MA; and 6:00 p.m.-8:30 p.m., at the Institute of Contemporary Art, 100 Northern Avenue, Boston, MA.
