Tito Puente Latin Music Series: Free Concerts in July

From merengue and salsa to Afro-Cuban and Latin jazz, the fifth annual Tito Puente Latin Music Series promises to heat up two of Boston's neighborhood parks in July with danceable rhythms.

Faculty and Staff Return to New Orleans Musicians' Village
The college is sponsoring its third annual trip to New Orleans to help build the Musicians' Village, an ongoing Habitat for Humanity project to create new and affordable homes for residents displaced by hurricanes Katrina and Rita.

Berklee BeanTown Jazz Festival, September 22-26, 2009
Now in its ninth year, Boston's largest and most popular outdoor festival has expanded to five days and seven stages, and has named world-renowned drummer and Berklee professor Terri Lyne Carrington its new artistic director.

La Timbistica Plays Freihofer's Jazz Festival
La Timbistica, a group composed of some of Berklee's brightest scholarship talent, will perform at the Freihofer's Jazz Festival in Saratoga Springs, NY, an annual event featuring 20 hours of live jazz on two stages over two days.

Student Profile: Ryan Toll
The music education major has his sights set on teaching internationally and sees his semester-long study abroad experience in Athens at the Philippos Nakas Conservatory as an important step in this journey.

New Online Course: Songwriting for Film and TV
Berkleemusic's newest course is taught by Emmy-winner Brad Hatfield (Analyze This, The Sopranos). Students will learn to write songs that appeal specifically to music supervisors, editors, directors, and producers across multiple genres.
