  Commencement speaker Smokey Robinson

As Berklee's new graduates accept their diplomas May 9, they'll share a stage with Smokey Robinson, Linda Ronstadt, Juan Luis Guerra, and George Massenburg. The industry greats will be presented with honorary doctorates of music at this year's commencement, and Robinson will give the commencement address.

The hubbub over commencement can eclipse other May events, but this month look for a faculty performance at the Arsenal Center for the Arts in Watertown and a student performance to begin the Berklee Summer Series at the Salem Jazz and Soul Festival. And, of course, enjoy free concerts on campus this week as students give their senior recitals and ensemble performance finals.

Look for the next edition of this newsletter in just two weeks, with a new look and a new publication schedule. Thanks for all of your feedback!
