  The Hollow Sound at SXSW

The financial news seems to be all bad lately, but Berklee President Roger H. Brown recently announced good news for students struggling to pay their tuition: Berklee's 2009-2010 budget will include a 24 percent increase in financial aid. Read on for the full report.

Even more good news—now you can follow the Berklee community on the move with the new Berklee on Tour blog. Last month, students and staff shared their experiences at South by Southwest in Austin, Texas and at Berklee's partner school in Athens, Greece. This month, watch for posts from Berklee's audition and interview site in Dublin.

There's a huge variety of other events coming up this month, too—from concerts by Herb Albert and Chick Corea to talks by Sweet Honey in the Rock founder Bernice Johnson Reagon and folk music icon Cris Williamson; from the premiere of a new improvisation workshop in Ireland to the continuation of the Berklee at the ICA and Marsalis Berklee Jams series. Visit the events calendar for all our listings.
