George Clinton

A lot of extraordinary things have happened on the Berklee campus over the years, but it will be hard to top what went down one day in early March. That's when George Clinton, grandfather of funk, sat in with the Berklee P-Funk Ensemble for the jam session of a lifetime. It isn't everyday that the man who created the music you're studying becomes your substitute teacher. Read more about the historic visit on our website, and check out more news below.

Berklee's month of April has plenty more in store for music fans, including the release of Ars Nova, the new compilation CD from the college's student-run Jazz Revelation Records. Also look out for clinics and performances from the Percussion Department and a number of exciting Berklee Performance Center events, including Singers Showcase, and other shows featuring Joe Satriani in one and Charlie Hunter in another.
