Jorge Drexler Meets Berklee
Berklee's Signature Series continues Thursday, January 20 with Oscar-winning singer-songwriter Jorge Drexler. Matching a world music sensibility with the rhythms of his native Uruguay, Drexler has received a combined total of seven Grammy and Latin Grammy nominations, as well as two Spanish Music Prizes. His "Al Otro Lado del Río" from The Motorcycle Diaries won the 2004 Academy Award for Best Original Song.
On Friday January 28, guitar virtuoso Guthrie Govan will take the stage at the Berklee Performance Center, backed by the Jon Finn Group and other special guests. Get a preview with the latest Sounds of Berklee podcast, Govan's "Fives."
